We’re looking for a Physical Therapist to join a team in Janesville, WI on a 4-week contract. You’ll work weekdays, support patients through assessment and hands-on care, and collaborate with other clinicians to help people regain independence and manage pain.

Required Credentials

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license
  • CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED)

What you’ll do

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments and review medical histories to determine patient needs.
  • Create individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals for rehabilitation and recovery.
  • Design and lead exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use manual techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities—ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold—as appropriate to support healing and pain control.
  • Train patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
  • Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Develop pain management strategies combining therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual therapy.
  • Help patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve quality of life.
  • Monitor and document progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to coordinate care.
  • Create and explain personalized home exercise programs to support continued recovery.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records and adhere to legal and ethical standards, including confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Provide culturally sensitive care and adapt approaches to meet diverse patient needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
