Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician

We are seeking an experienced Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician to provide hospital-based coverage in Pomona. This opportunity is ideal for a board-certified surgeon with strong adult cardiac surgery experience seeking a rewarding assignment at a Level II Trauma Center.

Compensation: $450 Per Hour

Position Details:

• Coverage Dates: June 1, 2026 – July 13, 2026
• Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Practice Setting: Hospital-based
• Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center
• Weekend Requirements: None
• Call Requirements: Night call approximately 12–13 days per month
• Average Volume: Rounding with approximately 1 case per day

Scope of Services:

• Adult Cardiac Surgery
• Inpatient rounding and perioperative management
• Collaboration with anesthesia, cardiology, ICU, and surgical teams

Required Procedures:

Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery

• CABG
• Off-Pump CABG
• Arterial Revascularization using:
• Internal Mammary Arteries
• Radial Artery
• Gastroepiploic Artery
• Redo Coronary Revascularization (with or without heart valve surgery)

• Pericardial Window

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Fellowship Training required
• Active New Jersey medical license required
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
