Join a surgical acute care team in Hilo, HI on a contract/travel assignment starting ASAP. This opportunity offers a $2,144/40-hr weekly rate and involves caring for post-operative and acute surgical patients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Prior surgical or acute care experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and multitasking abilities

Key responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to post-op and acute surgical patients, including assessments and ongoing monitoring
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products per orders
• Manage pain, monitor surgical wounds and drains, and respond to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding recovery and discharge instructions
• Accurately document assessments and interventions in the EMR
