Assignment: Contract/Travel, Nights
Shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (40 hours)
Rate: $2,280/40-hours

Overview:
Registered Nurse needed for post-acute/long-term care setting. Night shift role focused on resident assessment, care planning, medication administration, and coordination of interdisciplinary care.

Requirements:

  • Active, unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
  • Experience in post-acute, sub-acute rehab, skilled nursing, or long-term care preferred.
  • Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple residents and prioritize care.
  • Knowledge of state/federal LTC regulations and infection control standards.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • BLS required; ACLS may be required by facility.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform initial and ongoing nursing assessments; document resident condition accurately.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans with the care team.
  • Safely administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols.
  • Monitor residents for clinical changes and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Provide wound care, IV therapy, and post-acute rehabilitation support as needed.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other staff to ensure continuity.
  • Educate residents and families on care plans, medications, and health management.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant charting (including MDS input as applicable).
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Enforce infection control practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Respond to emergencies and perform life-saving measures when necessary.
  • Supervise and support CNAs and support staff to maintain quality care standards.
