Hours: 36/week
Rate: Travel $2,308/36-hrs; Local $2,275/36-hrs

Required credentials

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license
  • CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED)

Core responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments and review medical histories to determine patient needs.
  • Develop and document individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation goals.
  • Design and deliver customized therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Provide hands-on interventions (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, manual stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate for pain control, inflammation reduction, and tissue healing.
  • Train and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and instruct on safe use.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, home exercise programs, injury prevention, body mechanics, and ergonomics.
  • Implement pain-management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Assist patients in restoring function and independence following surgery, injury, or illness.
  • Monitor, reassess, and document patient progress; modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records (assessments, treatments, progress notes, changes).
  • Communicate and coordinate care with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members.
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards; obtain informed consent.
  • Provide culturally responsive care.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
