We’re seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens outpatient role in Jonesboro, GA (30236). This position runs June 10, 2026 through September 30, 2026, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, providing clinical-only coverage on a supplemental basis. Agency covers travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance.
What you’ll be doing
- Deliver outpatient cardiology care, seeing roughly 15 patients per day.
- Work closely with the care team to drive quality outcomes and coordinate patient care.
- Follow facility protocols and complete required documentation in Epic.
- Complete Epic training (8:00 am–4:30 pm) after credentialing and before your start date.
- Complete a protocol agreement with the Georgia Composite Medical Board (GCMB) as required.
What we need from you
- NP license in Georgia.
- Board certified or board eligible in your specialty.
- Active Georgia DEA.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Prior cardiology experience.
- Note: No hospital privileges or temporary privileges are required for this role.
Facility and workflow
- Outpatient setting using Epic for charting.
- Typical patient volume is about 15 patients per day.
