Locum OB/GYN — Short-Term Call Coverage in Ft. Mohave, AZ (Travel, Lodging & Malpractice Covered)

We’re seeking a board-certified OB/GYN to provide short-term, call-only locum coverage in Fort Mohave, AZ (86426). This assignment runs May 15, 2026 – May 26, 2026 and covers both inpatient and outpatient needs. Travel, lodging, and malpractice are covered by the agency.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide beeper-based on-call coverage with a 30-minute response expectation and a call ratio of 1:93.
• Handle 2–3 phone consults per shift and perform patient rounding as needed.
• Coordinate care and arrange transfers for high-risk or trauma patients who require a trauma center.
• Document and enter orders using HMS Med Host and CPOE.

Patient and facility support

• Work with a clinical team that includes 2 RNs, 2 MAs, and 3 office staff.
• Temporary hospital privileges are available; hospital privileges are required.

Procedures and clinical scope (required)

• Obstetrics: low- and high-risk pregnancies; fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE); OB ultrasound performance and interpretation (Level I viability and Level II/anatomic); routine vaginal deliveries including low forceps; decision-making for and management of cesarean deliveries; complicated deliveries (breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs); repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations.
• Gynecology: office/minor procedures (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.).
• Surgical gynecology: open procedures; laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, lysis of adhesions, chromotubation); operative/major procedures including ectopic pregnancy management, oophorectomy, cystectomy, and extensive lysis of adhesions.
• Laser certification required.

Qualifications

• Board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Licensed in Arizona or eligible via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Fellowship training preferred.
