Adelphi is hiring Registered Nurses to deliver patient-centered nursing care at a medical center in Fort Worth, Texas. Nurses will practice within legal, ethical, and institutional guidelines while working in a correctional facility environment.

Minimum requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Active, unrestricted Texas RN license
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• At least six months clinical experience preferred
• Ability to work safely and professionally in a correctional facility with diverse patient populations

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care: obtain histories, record vital signs, assist clinicians, and support routine clinical activities
• Perform nursing procedures: venipuncture, medication and vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing
• Operate and monitor equipment such as EKGs, cardiac monitors, glucometers, and thermometers
• Support patient flow across Specialty Care, Ambulatory, Telemedicine, and Mental Health units
• Triage and assist in urgent or emergency situations, following standing orders as required
• Accurately document care in the Bureau Electronic Medical Records (BEMR) system in a timely manner
• Implement infection control measures and safeguard patient safety, privacy, and dignity
• Complete administrative duties: scheduling, recordkeeping, and coordinating appointments
• Adhere to institutional security, operational policies, and correctional facility safety and dress standards
• Practice within the scope of current licensure and maintain professional conduct
