Location: Rochester, NH
Type: Contract (Non-Travel) — 8 weeks, start ASAP
Schedule: 07:00 AM–03:30 PM daily (Sun–Sat)
Rate: Local: $883/24-hours

Requirements:

  • Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for the state of New Hampshire
  • BLS certification

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, and basic treatments.
  • Perform patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer and monitor medications and treatments per orders and protocols; ensure accurate dosing and documentation.
  • Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for infection or complications.
  • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition.
  • Insert, manage, and monitor IV lines and IV medications/fluids as permitted by facility policy.
  • Care for patients with urinary catheters (insertion, maintenance, monitoring).
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
  • Maintain accurate patient records: treatments given, responses, and condition changes.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.
  • Assist with patient comfort, positioning, mobility, and pain management.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support according to protocols.
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures, including proper PPE use and safe handling/disposal of medications and supplies.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other staff to coordinate care.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when required.
  • Participate in ongoing education to maintain current nursing knowledge.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
