Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — Woodstock, VA (14-Week Travel)

Join a collaborative healthcare team in Woodstock, VA for a 14-week contract beginning ASAP. This full-time position follows an 08:00 AM–04:30 PM schedule and offers competitive pay: Travel rate $1,876/35-hours; Local rate $1,848/35-hours.

Basic requirement

• Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license.

Core responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing function using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
• Diagnose communication and swallowing disorders, determining type and severity.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension and expression.
• Evaluate and manage dysphagia, implementing safe swallowing strategies.
• Recommend and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on therapy techniques, home programs, and carryover strategies.
• Monitor and document patient progress consistently; revise plans as clinically indicated.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to coordinate care.
• Support patients in applying improved communication skills across daily activities, school, and work.
• Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current in best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
