Required credentials

• Active Physical Therapy state license
• CPR and BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross, including AED)

Core responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and review medical history.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to determine patient needs.
• Develop and document individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans with measurable goals.
• Design and administer exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
• Apply manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Use therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate.
• Train and advise patients in the safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
• Provide education to patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Create and instruct on home exercise programs to support continued recovery.
• Monitor, reassess, and document patient progress; modify treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation (assessments, treatments, progress notes, changes).
• Adhere to professional, ethical, and legal standards, including confidentiality and informed consent.
• Deliver culturally sensitive care and tailor approaches to diverse patient needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
