Required Qualifications:

• Valid, active Physical Therapy state license
• CPR and BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (with AED)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and review medical history to identify functional impairments and patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation staff to coordinate care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals for rehabilitation and recovery.
• Design and deliver therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and mobility.
• Provide manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Apply physical modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as indicated for pain control and tissue healing.
• Instruct patients in the safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
• Teach patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, home exercise programs, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on patient progress; maintain accurate assessment, treatment, and progress notes.
• Develop pain management strategies combining therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
• Support patients’ return to independence after surgery, injury, or illness.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, obtain informed consent, and adhere to legal and ethical standards.
• Provide culturally sensitive care and respond to diverse patient needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
