We're seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a 5-week, contract (non-travel) assignment in Lebanon, NH. This position starts ASAP and follows a long day shift (approximately 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM). Compensation is Local: $994 per 36-hour period.

What you’ll need

  • Active, valid LPN license for the state
  • BLS certification

What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under RN or physician supervision—thinking medication administration, wound care, IV management, and routine monitoring of vital signs. You’ll perform focused assessments, review histories and meds, and help create and follow individualized care plans. Accurate documentation of patient status, treatments, and medication administration will be essential.

Key duties include:

  • Administering medications and treatments safely and following protocols
  • Assessing, cleaning, dressing, and monitoring wounds for infection or complications
  • Inserting, monitoring and managing IV lines and IV medications/fluids
  • Caring for patients with urinary catheters (insertion, maintenance, and monitoring)
  • Collecting specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respirations)
  • Educating patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and self-care
  • Assisting with comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management
  • Responding to emergencies and providing basic life support when needed
  • Following strict infection-control practices and proper use of PPE
  • Safely handling, storing, and disposing of medications and supplies
  • Promoting preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and supporting health assessments
  • Advocating for patients’ rights and coordinating with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure seamless care
  • Occasionally supervising CNAs or other unlicensed assistive personnel as directed
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management
