Location: Laconia, NH | Start: ASAP | Duration: 9 weeks | Shift: 06:45 AM–07:15 PM | Rate: Local $1,062/36 hours | Contract, Non-Travel

Overview:
Seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to provide patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate delivers accurate assessments, safe medication and wound care, and clear patient education while working collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Requirements:

  • Active, valid LPN state license
  • BLS certification

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician guidance, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Perform focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care planning.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately, following protocols and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for signs of infection or complications.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and changes in patient condition; maintain precise patient records.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
  • Initiate and monitor IV therapy and catheter care; collect specimens for laboratory testing as needed.
  • Assist with patient comfort, positioning, mobility, and basic pain management.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide basic life support when required.
  • Follow infection control standards and proper handling/storage/disposal of medications and supplies.
  • Advocate for patient needs and coordinate care with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff.
  • May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when delegated.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and perform other duties as assigned by management.
