LPN/LVN Night Shift - 9-Week Contract (Keene, NH)

Join a Keene, NH healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse for a 9-week contract (start ASAP). This non-travel role follows a night schedule (Mon–Thu, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM) for 32 hours weekly. Local rate: $976/32-hours.

Required:

• Valid, active LPN license for the state of New Hampshire
• BLS certification

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under RN or physician supervision, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and routine assessments.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments (physical exams, histories, medication reviews) and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Monitor and document vital signs, patient condition changes, treatments, and medication administration accurately and timely.
• Manage wound care: evaluation, cleaning, dressing, and monitoring for infection or complications.
• Administer and monitor IV medications and fluids; ensure proper line function and insertion care.
• Collect clinical specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
• Support patient comfort and safety: positioning, mobility assistance, pain management, and basic nursing interventions.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, preventive measures, and follow-up needs.
• Respond to emergencies using established protocols and provide basic life support when needed.
• Adhere to infection control standards and safe handling, storage, and disposal of medications and supplies.
• Communicate and collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care; may supervise CNAs or UAPs when assigned.
• Maintain professional development by staying current with nursing best practices, regulations, and trainings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
