Position: Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner

Rate: $80/hr
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license and Nurse Practitioner certification with prescriptive authority.
- Current DEA registration.
- Current BLS certification.
- Knowledge of advanced nursing theory, pharmacology, diagnostics, and correctional healthcare practices.
- Ability to work independently, manage diverse clinical cases, and respond effectively in emergency situations.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments; establish medical diagnoses.
- Prescribe, adjust, and monitor medications; order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Provide preventive care, acute care, and chronic disease management for persons in custody.
- Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation in the electronic health record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff training, and patient education programs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support Department of Corrections reentry programs and evidence-based care initiatives.
