We’re looking for a Physical Therapist to join a team in Lanham, MD for a 14-week contract starting ASAP. You’ll work weekdays (Mon–Fri) from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Compensation is competitive: Travel: $2,317/35-hours; Local: $2,282/35-hours.

What you’ll need

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included).

What you’ll be doing

  • Perform thorough physical assessments, review medical histories, and collaborate with other clinicians to understand each patient’s needs.
  • Create individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable rehab goals.
  • Develop and lead exercise programs to build strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use manual techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and stretching—to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain and support healing.
  • Instruct patients in the safe use of assistive devices such as crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Implement pain-management approaches combining exercises, modalities, and hands-on techniques.
  • Help patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness and improve overall quality of life.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and provide personalized home exercise programs.
  • Communicate clearly with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards.
  • Respect and respond to the cultural needs of a diverse patient population.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
