Join a 13-week contract (non-travel) assignment in Silver City, NM, starting ASAP. Schedule: Sun, Fri, Sat, 06:00 AM–06:30 PM. Local rate: $1,040/36 hours.

Requirements:

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
• BLS certification

Overview:
Provide hands-on nursing care under RN or physician direction in a fast-paced clinical setting. Deliver safe, compassionate care while documenting accurately, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and promoting patient education and wellness.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform focused patient assessments (vitals, physical exam, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, including IV medications/fluids, and monitor responses.
• Provide wound care: evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor for infection or complications.
• Maintain accurate patient records of condition changes, treatments, and medication administration.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
• Care for patients with urinary catheters (insertion, maintenance, monitoring).
• Support patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and basic pain management.
• Respond to emergencies following established protocols and provide BLS as needed.
• Follow strict infection control practices and proper handling, storage, and disposal of medications and supplies.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and self-care.
• Advocate for patient rights and coordinate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other staff to ensure quality care.
• Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
• Maintain professional development through ongoing education and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
