Contract LPN opportunity in Silver City, NM — 13-week assignment starting ASAP. Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Saturday, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM. Local rate: $1,040/36-hours.

Required credentials

• Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
• BLS certification

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands-on nursing care under RN or physician direction, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and vital signs monitoring.
• Perform patient assessments (physical exams, histories, medication reviews) and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications accurately, document dosing and responses, and follow established protocols.
• Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds and surgical sites for complications or infection.
• Collect and prepare specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records of condition changes, interventions, and medication administration.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, prevention, and wellness measures.
• Support patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management; assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support according to protocols.
• Follow strict infection control, PPE use, and safe medication/supply handling and disposal procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs) to ensure coordinated care.
• May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned.
• Participate in ongoing education to maintain competency and adhere to current best practices.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
