Join a Rutland, VT team as a contract/travel Physical Therapist for a 14-week assignment starting ASAP. This position follows a weekday schedule (08:00 AM–04:30 PM) and offers competitive pay: Travel rate $2,121/35-hours or Local rate $2,090/35-hours.
What you’ll do:
- Perform thorough physical assessments, review medical histories, and consult with the care team to identify patient needs.
- Create individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable rehabilitation goals.
- Design and progress therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
- Deliver hands-on interventions—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and manual stretching—to improve mobility and reduce pain.
- Apply therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to support pain relief and tissue healing.
- Instruct patients on safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
- Implement pain management techniques using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual therapy.
- Support patients in regaining independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve quality of life.
- Monitor and document patient progress, revising plans of care as needed.
- Provide clear communication and coordination with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members.
- Create personalized home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.
- Maintain accurate, timely patient records and adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and tailor care to diverse patient backgrounds.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What we’re looking for:
- Current, active Physical Therapy license for the practicing state.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included).
