Rate: Travel $2,317 / 35 hrs; Local $2,282 / 35 hrs

Requirements:

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license.
  • CPR and BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (including AED).

Core responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments, review medical history, and collaborate with the care team to identify patient needs.
  • Develop and document individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation goals.
  • Design and implement therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and functional mobility.
  • Provide manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, manual stretching) to enhance mobility and relieve pain.
  • Apply physical modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain, inflammation, and promote healing.
  • Assess, train, and educate patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
  • Create and teach personalized home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.
  • Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on patient progress and response to interventions.
  • Develop and implement pain management strategies using exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Facilitate functional independence following surgery, injury, or illness to improve quality of life.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records (assessments, treatment notes, progress, and changes).
  • Adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards; obtain informed consent.
  • Provide culturally sensitive care responsive to diverse patient needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
