Join a 14-week contract in North Andover, MA as a Physical Therapy Assistant supporting patient care and rehabilitation. This role begins ASAP and follows a full-week schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation (36-hour week): Travel rate $1,548; Local rate $1,526.
Required:
- Current, active Physical Therapy Assistant state license.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Physical Therapist in patient evaluations by collecting medical histories, assessing functional status, and contributing to goal-setting.
- Implement prescribed interventions and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility, strength, flexibility, and overall function.
- Operate modalities and therapeutic equipment safely and effectively as part of the treatment plan.
- Instruct and coach patients on exercise techniques and home programs to promote recovery and self-management.
- Educate patients and families about treatment goals, home care, and activity modifications.
- Document treatments, patient responses, and progress accurately and promptly in medical records.
- Collaborate with the PT and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Follow safety, infection control, and facility protocols to maintain a safe treatment environment.
- Provide compassionate coaching and encouragement to support patient engagement and outcomes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
