Join a 14-week contract in Westford, MA, starting ASAP. Full-time schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel $2,317/35 hrs; Local $2,282/35 hrs.

Requirements:

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy license for the state.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included).

Core responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough physical assessments, review medical histories, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to clarify patient needs.
  • Create individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable rehabilitation goals.
  • Design and deliver customized exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Apply manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, therapeutic stretching) to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
  • Utilize modalities—ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold therapy—to manage pain, inflammation, and tissue healing.
  • Train patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to maximize mobility and independence.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, injury prevention, body mechanics, and ergonomics.
  • Implement pain management strategies combining therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Support patients’ return to independence following surgery, injury, or illness, monitoring functional progress and adjusting plans accordingly.
  • Provide personalized home exercise programs and document instructions for continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and any changes in condition.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other providers to coordinate care.
  • Uphold legal and ethical standards, including confidentiality and informed consent, and demonstrate cultural sensitivity in patient interactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
