Travel RN - PACU (Post-Anesthesia) | State College, PA | Contract

We’re seeking a confident and skilled RN to join a PACU team in State College, PA, for a contract/travel assignment starting ASAP. This is a 36-hour assignment paying $2,052.

What you’ll bring

• Active RN license in the practicing state.
• PACU, post-anesthesia, or perioperative nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and the care team.
• BLS required; ACLS or PALS preferred.

What you’ll do

• Provide focused post-anesthesia care: monitor airway, vital signs, pain, and overall patient status immediately after procedures.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed and manage pain effectively.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in condition or complications.
• Teach patients and families about post-procedure care and discharge instructions so they feel safe and informed.
• Accurately document care and collaborate closely with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure seamless transitions.
