Travel RN House Supervisor — Newport, OR | $2,182/36-hr, ASAP, Leadership & Acute Care Experience

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to step into a house supervisor role in Newport, OR. This is a contract/travel position starting ASAP, with varied shifts and a pay rate of $2,182 for a 36-hour assignment.

What you’ll bring

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• 2–3 years (minimum) of acute care nursing experience; supervisory or charge nurse experience is strongly preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; some facilities may ask for additional credentials.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, clear communication, and demonstrated leadership.
• Comfort making quick decisions, managing crises, and juggling multiple priorities.
• Preferably, experience with patient flow management and broader hospital operations.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and provide clinical oversight to nursing staff across units during your shift.
• Coordinate patient flow—admissions, transfers, and discharges—to keep staffing and beds balanced.
• Act as the administrator-on-duty: handle operational issues, staff concerns, and patient/family needs.
• Respond to emergencies and rapid responses, offering direction and hands-on support when needed.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.
• Assess staffing needs in real time and reassign personnel to maintain safe patient ratios.
• Support frontline teams with problem-solving, conflict resolution, and escalation management.
• Document incidents, staffing decisions, and operational concerns, and communicate important updates to leadership.
• Foster a collaborative, efficient, and positive environment for both staff and patients.
