Requirements:

• Valid, active Physical Therapy Assistant state license

Core responsibilities:

• Assist the Physical Therapist with patient evaluations: collect medical history, perform assessments, and help set treatment goals.
• Implement prescribed treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility.
• Administer modalities and operate therapeutic equipment per protocol.
• Instruct patients in exercise techniques and home programs; document teaching and patient understanding.
• Monitor and document patient response and progress; maintain accurate, timely patient records.
• Communicate and coordinate care with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team; report changes in patient status.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures to maintain a safe therapy environment.
• Provide patient support and encouragement to promote adherence and progress.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
