Contract/Travel Physical Therapy Assistant — Albuquerque, NM

• Schedule: Sun–Sat, 08:00 AM–04:30 PM
• Rate: Travel: $1,260/35 hrs; Local: $1,239/35 hrs

Minimum requirement

• Valid, active Physical Therapy Assistant state license

Core responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist with patient evaluations: obtain medical history, measure baseline function, and help set goals.
• Implement prescribed interventions and therapeutic exercise programs to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility.
• Apply modalities and operate therapeutic equipment safely and according to protocol.
• Teach and progress home exercise programs and therapeutic techniques to patients and families.
• Document treatments, patient response, and progress accurately and timely in patient records.
• Communicate and coordinate with the Physical Therapist and multidisciplinary team about treatment plans and patient status.
• Follow safety, infection control, and facility policies at all times.
• Provide patient education, motivation, and emotional support during rehabilitation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
