LPN/LVN Licensed Practical Nurse Night Shift, Long-Term Care (Belen, NM, 14-week Contract)

We’re looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a team in Belen, NM for a 14-week contract starting ASAP. This is a local, non-travel position with a Wed–Fri night schedule (6:00 PM–6:30 AM). Pay is $1,019 for a 36-hour week.

What you’ll need:

• Current, active LPN license for the state
• BLS certification

What you’ll do:
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. That means administering medications, monitoring vitals, doing wound care, and performing focused patient assessments to help create and follow individualized care plans. You’ll document changes in condition, track treatments and meds, and collect specimens for lab testing as needed.

Other daily responsibilities include:

• Safely administering IV meds/fluids and caring for IV lines
• Managing urinary catheters (insertion, maintenance, monitoring)
• Monitoring and documenting vital signs and signs of infection or complications
• Assessing wounds, dressing changes, and ongoing wound management
• Teaching patients and families about conditions, meds, and self-care
• Assisting with mobility, positioning, pain management, and basic comfort needs
• Responding to emergencies and providing basic life support when required
• Following infection-control protocols and proper PPE use
• Proper handling, storage, and disposal of meds and supplies
• Promoting preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and advocating for patients’ rights and needs
• Working closely with the interdisciplinary team—RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs/UAPs—and occasionally supervising CNAs/UAPs
• Staying up to date with nursing best practices and completing required training
• Other duties as assigned by management
