LPN — Behavioral Health (Substance Abuse/Detox) | 13-Week Contract, Penn Run PA

We’re looking for a compassionate, reliable LPN to join a behavioral health team in Penn Run, PA on a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This role focuses on supporting patients through alcohol and drug detox in a structured, therapeutic environment.

What the assignment looks like

• Location: Penn Run, PA
• Duration: 13 weeks (Contract/Travel)
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week
• Pay: Travel: $1,472 / 36-hours • Local: $1,418 / 36-hours

What we need from you

• Active, unrestricted LPN license for Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in behavioral health, detox, psych, or rehab is preferred
• Confidence recognizing withdrawal signs and behavioral escalation
• Strong observation, communication, and patient-support skills

What you’ll do day-to-day

• Monitor patients undergoing alcohol and drug detox and report changes to the RN/clinical team
• Recognize and document withdrawal symptoms and behavioral changes promptly
• Administer medications and PRN treatments as ordered
• Assist with safety measures—observation, risk monitoring, and interventions as needed
• Help with intake, admission, and discharge processes
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, observations, and interventions
• Provide basic nursing care and emotional support to patients and families
• Follow behavioral health protocols, safety guidelines, and infection control practices
• Communicate effectively with RNs, providers, and the interdisciplinary team to support recovery
