Travel RN Behavioral Health/Detox (13-week) High Pay, 12-hr Shifts, MAT Experience Preferred

We’re seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join a behavioral health/detox team in Penn Run, PA. This is a contract/travel position starting ASAP for 13 weeks, working 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week). Pay is: Travel $1,804/36-hours or Local $1,735/36-hours.

What you’ll bring

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS (ACLS preferred depending on the facility)
• Experience in behavioral health, detox, psychiatric, or substance-abuse settings is preferred
• Strong assessment skills for withdrawal and mental health conditions
• The ability to remain calm and professional during high-acuity behavioral situations

What you’ll do day-to-day

• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments for detox and behavioral health patients
• Monitor and manage withdrawal from alcohol, opioids, and other substances
• Administer ordered medications, including MAT and PRNs
• Observe and respond to behavioral changes, mental-health symptoms, and any clinical deterioration
• Maintain patient safety with appropriate suicide-risk and elopement precautions
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, counselors, and the interdisciplinary treatment team
• Support admissions, intake screening, and discharge planning
• Provide patient education on recovery, relapse prevention, and medication adherence
• Follow facility policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
