Locum Tenens Obstetrician–Gynecologist (24/7 ED Call) — Ada, OK

We’re seeking a board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN to provide 24/7 on-call obstetrics coverage in Ada, Oklahoma. This is a locum tenens, inpatient position with ASAP start and ongoing coverage. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency.

What you’ll do

• Provide continuous ED/obstetrics call coverage (beeper call; 30-minute response time).
• Manage roughly 30 deliveries per month (average daily volume 2–3 patients).
• See unassigned patients during rounds and handle about two phone consults daily.
• Perform emergency consultations and procedures in response to ED volume.
• Document clinical care in Epic.

Clinical environment and support

• Facility uses Epic EMR.
• Full specialty backup available: 24/7 anesthesia, fellowship-trained ED physicians, and in-house hospitalists.
• Onsite support includes two PAs/NPs.

Procedures and scope (preferred)

• Management of low- and high-risk pregnancies, fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE).
• OB ultrasound performance and interpretation (Level I screening/viability and Level II targeted/anatomic).
• Amniocentesis.
• Routine and complicated vaginal deliveries (including low forceps), decision-making and performance of C-sections, breech and multiple births, abruptions, VBACs.
• Repair of 3rd- and 4th-degree lacerations.
• Office/minor gynecology (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.).
• Surgical gynecology: open and laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOAs), and operative/major cases (ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive LOAs).
• Laser certification preferred.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in OB/GYN.
• Licensed in Oklahoma or eligible for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)/universal license.
• BLS required. Fellowship training preferred.

• Hospital privileges are required; temporary privileges are not available.
