Locum Tenens Pediatric Hospitalist — Richland, WA (Inpatient, 12-hr Days + Evening Beeper Call)

We’re seeking a board-certified pediatric hospitalist to provide inpatient coverage in Richland, WA (99352) on a locum tenens basis through Dec 31, 2026 (ASAP start). You’ll work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.) and cover evening beeper call (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) after clinical shifts. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided by the agency.

What you’ll be doing

• Cover roughly 10–12 shifts per month, managing an average census of about 4 patients per day.
• Provide comprehensive inpatient pediatric care during 12-hour clinical shifts and respond to beeper call with a 30-minute response expectation.
• Round both on patients and via phone consults as needed.
• Collaborate closely with RNs and the multidisciplinary team.
• Document care accurately and promptly in Epic.

Facility and support

• Inpatient setting at a Level II trauma center with Level III pediatric services.
• Supported by nursing staff; Epic EMR in use.

Clinical scope and procedures

• Expected to perform pediatric and newborn care, including intubations (ENT/INT) when required.

Credentials and requirements

• Board-certified in Pediatrics (BC required). Fellowship preferred.
• Valid Washington license or participation in the IMLC.
• DEA registration, BLS, and PALS required.
