Job Description
A healthcare facility in Twin Falls, ID is seeking a Locums General Orthopedic Surgeon to provide coverage at a Level III Trauma Center. The role focuses on management of acute orthopedic trauma in collaboration with surgical and emergency medicine teams.
Compensation
- $4,050 per shift
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with acute musculoskeletal and traumatic orthopedic injuries in the emergency department and inpatient settings
- Perform operative and non-operative fracture management and related orthopedic procedures
- Provide consultations for ED and inpatient cases
- Participate in trauma call coverage as part of the orthopedic team
- Collaborate with emergency medicine, trauma surgeons, hospitalists, advanced practice providers, and surgical support staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to patient safety and quality standards
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma preferred
- Eligible for Idaho medical licensure
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex trauma cases
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
