Scope and Volume
- Facility annual volume: ~12,000
- EMR: Epic
- Support: NPs and PAs onsite
Credentials & Compliance
- Board: ABEM, AOBEM, or ABMS (FM, IM, EM)
- License: Active, unrestricted Virginia medical license required
- DEA/CDS: Active DEA with VA address; must cover schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4 & 5
- Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (unless board-certified in EM or EM-trained); NRP for non-ABEM providers
- Education/Training: MD or DO from accredited 4-year medical school; completion of ACGME/AOA-approved 3-year residency in EM, FM, or IM
- Additional: Case logs for last two years; preeclampsia CME for initial application and reappointment; MMR/Varicella titers, TB testing, and seasonal flu vaccine required
- Privileging: 3-month proctorship required
Primary Duties
- Provide direct clinical care in 12-hour shifts
- Supervise NPs and PAs
- Document and maintain accurate patient records in Epic
- Comply with facility immunization policies and clinical documentation standards
