Seeking a board-certified or board-eligible anesthesiologist for a locum tenens assignment in Flagstaff, AZ. This daytime clinical-only opportunity runs 13 weeks from June 17 to September 16, 2026, with a 5x12-hour shift schedule (07:00–19:00).
Assignment details:
- Setting: Inpatient and outpatient (main hospital + ambulatory surgery center)
- Coverage dates include June 17, July 22, July 29, and August 20, 2026
- Average daily volume: 50–60 patients
- Case mix: Orthopedics, orthopedic trauma, general surgery, general trauma, spine, neurosurgery, cath lab, ambulatory procedures, and endoscopy
- OR capacity: 11 ORs at main hospital, 2 in ambulatory center
- EMR: Cerner and SaAnesthesia
- Support: CRNAs available (locum physician will not medically direct CRNAs)
- Credentialing timeline: 30 days
Requirements:
- Board: BC or BE in Anesthesiology
- Licensure: Compact/Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) preferred
- Certifications: ACLS and PALS
- Start date: June 17, 2026
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver perioperative anesthesia care across a broad surgical mix (ortho, trauma, spine, neuro, general, cath lab, ambulatory, endo)
- Support clinical operations in both hospital and ambulatory settings
- Collaborate with CRNAs in a non-medical-director role
- Document care using Cerner and SaAnesthesia
- Maintain patient safety and high standards of perioperative care
