Required credentials
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Registry personnel must bring state or federal photo ID to the facility and wear a photo badge at all times.
- Agency staff must have completed the original or updated COVID-19 vaccination series or provide a documented medical or religious exemption from their employer. Additional doses must be obtained where required by law.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician direction.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per orders.
- Evaluate, clean, dress, and manage wounds; monitor for infection or complications.
- Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation and charting.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and follow infection control protocols.
