Overview
Contract Registered Nurse position in Lewiston, ME providing psychiatric/behavioral health care in an emergency/crisis setting. Night shift (7p–7a), start ASAP. Rate: $2,182 per 36 hours.

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BLS required
• CPI or crisis-prevention training preferred
• Prior behavioral health or emergency experience preferred
• Strong assessment, de-escalation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage high-acuity crisis situations

Responsibilities

• Conduct crisis and psychiatric assessments, including suicide risk evaluations
• Monitor patient safety and apply de-escalation techniques
• Administer psychiatric medications and ordered treatments
• Collaborate with behavioral health and emergency department teams
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and resources
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and care in the EMR
