Setting: Outpatient Community Health Center
Assignment: Locum Tenens, clinical only
Dates: ASAP – 3 months (possible extension)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Scope of Care
- Patient population: newborns through adolescents
- Volume: ~16 patients/day
- Case mix: general pediatric outpatient care (well checks, sick visits, immunizations, acute/chronic management)
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform pediatric wellness exams, sick visits, preventive care, and immunizations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions
- Document encounters accurately in Epic
- Collaborate with onsite pediatricians, behavioral health, and multidisciplinary support staff
- Provide culturally sensitive care to vulnerable and diverse populations
Facility & Support
- EMR: Epic
- Onsite specialty backup: pediatricians and behavioral health support
- Support staff: dedicated medical assistant, receptionists, mental health therapists, dietitians, healthcare administrator
- Equipment: standard outpatient clinic equipment
Credentials & Compliance
- Active Washington NP license required
- BC/BE required
- Active Washington DEA required
- BLS required
- COVID and flu vaccination required
- Clean record
- Temporary privileges and credentialing timeline: credentialing approximately 2–3 weeks
Experience & Skills
- Experience in outpatient community health or working with vulnerable populations preferred
- Proficiency with Epic and ability to work in a fast-paced clinic
