Clinical Duties and Volume
- Inpatient labor & delivery and associated outpatient responsibilities
- Patient volume: 6–24 patients per shift
- Annual deliveries at facility: ~6,000
- # Beds: 24
- Trauma Level: IV
- EMR: Epic
Team and Support
- Physician coverage: 3 OB hospitalists; 19 community OB/GYNs; 2 MFM groups
- Midwifery: 17 CNMs
- Nursing: 15–20 RNs
- Temporary privileges available; hospital privileges required
Procedures and Clinical Skills Required
- Obstetrics: management of low- and high-risk pregnancies; fetal heart rate interpretation; NST/CST/FSE
- OB ultrasound: performance and interpretation; Level I/screening (viability)
- Labor & Delivery: routine vaginal deliveries; complicated deliveries including breech, multiples, abruptions, VBACs; cesarean sections
- Repair of 3rd- and 4th-degree perineal lacerations
Logistics and Coverage
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
Qualifications and Requirements
- Active Arizona medical license
- Board certification and fellowship (per facility requirements)
- ACLS certification
- NPDB report
