Location: West Bloomfield
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Option to Extend)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract Assignment
Hours: 48 Hours per Week
Shift Length: 12 Hours
Days per Week: 4

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a busy Emergency Department team in West Bloomfield, MI. The ideal candidate will have experience providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment and possess strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Schedule

  • 4 Night Shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 4 Mid Shifts: Variable Hours (2:00 PM – 2:00 AM)
  • Block Scheduling: Not Available
  • On-Call Requirement: None

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department.
  • Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity levels.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control protocols.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

Licensure

  • Active State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License required.

Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience required.
