Coverage period: ASAP – Ongoing
Shift to be covered: June 26 (7:00) and beginning July 7 (7:00) – Ongoing
Call schedule: 24-hour call (7:00 AM–7:00 AM)
Patient volume: 10–15 patients
Clinical duties:
- Provide full-scope cardiovascular surgery coverage
- Manage inpatient CV surgical patients and respond to emergent/urgent cases
Required procedures/skills:
- Full scope cardiovascular surgery
Systems and logistics:
- EMR: Cerner
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
Requirements:
- Active TX medical license or participation in IMLC
- Board eligible/certified (BE/BC) in Cardiovascular Surgery
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- NPDB report
Reason for coverage: Supplemental cardiovascular surgical coverage
