Summary
Lead and manage the pharmacy department of a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. Responsible for clinical oversight, regulatory compliance, staff development, inventory and budget management, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective medication use.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pharmacy staff and daily department operations
- Develop, implement, and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory pharmacy standards
- Manage medication inventory, procurement, and pharmaceutical supply chain
- Conduct staff hiring, performance evaluations, training, and development
- Provide clinical oversight, medication consultations, and quality patient care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams on medication therapy
- Manage departmental budget and operational expenses
- Investigate and resolve pharmacy-related issues and patient concerns
- Maintain accurate records and prepare required reports
- Stay current with pharmacy practice standards and healthcare regulations
Requirements
- PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Active, unrestricted Wyoming pharmacist license
- Minimum 5 years of pharmacy leadership or related experience
- Prior hospital pharmacy leadership or Director of Pharmacy experience preferred
- Thorough knowledge of pharmacy laws, ethics, and regulatory compliance
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with hospital management systems and pharmacy databases (MEDITECH experience preferred)
Schedule & Work Environment
- Typically four 10-hour shifts per week (flexible scheduling)
- 1:2 on-call rotation
- Hospital setting; prolonged standing and active clinical engagement
- Reports to Administrator/COO
