Join a 14-week contract in Santa Fe, NM, starting ASAP. Schedule: 08:00 AM–04:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $1,827/35 hrs; Local rate $1,799/35 hrs.

Required credentials:

  • Active state Physical Therapy license
  • CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included)

Core responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations, review medical histories, and collaborate with the healthcare team to identify patient needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measurable rehabilitation objectives.
  • Prescribe and progress therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Deliver manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, manual stretching) to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain, inflammation, and promote healing.
  • Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to maximize safe mobility.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, ergonomics, body mechanics, and injury prevention.
  • Create and reinforce home exercise programs to support continued recovery.
  • Monitor, document, and adapt treatment based on patient progress; maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards; obtain informed consent and practice cultural sensitivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
