Required credentials

• Valid, active Physical Therapy state license
• CPR and BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) including AED

Core responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments, review medical history, and coordinate with the healthcare team to identify patient needs.
• Develop and document individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation goals.
• Implement therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
• Provide manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, manual stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Apply modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as indicated to manage pain, inflammation, and tissue healing.
• Train and instruct patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, home exercise programs, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Monitor and document patient progress; modify treatment plans based on outcomes and clinical judgment.
• Collaborate and communicate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to optimize care.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation (assessments, treatments, progress notes, consent).
• Follow ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards; demonstrate cultural sensitivity in patient interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
