LPN/LVN - Long-Term Care Nights (Belen, NM) — 13-Week Contract, $914/36 hrs

We’re seeking a dependable Licensed Practical Nurse to join a team in Belen, NM on a 13-week contract (non-travel) starting ASAP. This is a local assignment with a schedule of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday nights (6:00 PM–6:30 AM). Pay is $914 per 36-hour week.

What you’ll bring

• Current, active LPN license for the state.
• BLS certification.
• Strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team.

What you’ll do (day-to-day)
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the supervision of RNs or physicians. Typical duties include medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, vital sign monitoring, and catheter care. You’ll perform patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review), document changes in condition, and help develop and carry out individualized care plans.

Other key responsibilities

• Safely give medications and treatments, ensuring correct dosing and following protocols.
• Evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor wounds for signs of infection or complications.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting for treatments and observations.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Support patient comfort and safety—assist with positioning, mobility, and pain management.
• Respond quickly during emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.
• Follow strict infection control practices and proper PPE use.
• Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies according to policy.
• Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and advocate for patients’ needs.
• Occasionally supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
• Participate in ongoing education to stay current with best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
