Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) — 14-Week Contract in Farmington, ME

We’re looking for a motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to join a contract/travel assignment in Farmington, ME. This position starts ASAP for 14 weeks and follows a Monday–Saturday style schedule (Sun–Sat coverage) from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation is: Travel rate $1,260/35 hours; Local rate $1,239/35 hours.

What we need from you

• A valid, active Physical Therapy Assistant state license.

What you’ll do day to day

• Support the Physical Therapist during patient evaluations by collecting medical history and helping set goals.
• Implement prescribed interventions and exercise programs to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility.
• Apply therapeutic modalities and operate rehab equipment safely and effectively.
• Teach patients proper exercise techniques and home programs to support recovery and long-term function.
• Keep clear, accurate documentation of treatments, patient progress, and any changes in condition.
• Communicate regularly with the PT and the broader care team to coordinate care and refine treatment plans.
• Follow safety and infection-control protocols to maintain a clean, safe therapy environment.
• Offer encouragement and emotional support to patients as they work toward their goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
