Rate: Travel: $2,383 / 36 hrs; Local: $2,347 / 36 hrs

Required Credentials

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (with AED)

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments and review medical history to determine patient needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation goals.
  • Create and supervise customized therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Provide manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply physical modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate.
  • Instruct and train patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Design and adjust pain management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Facilitate functional recovery and independence following surgery, injury, or illness.
  • Monitor, document, and update patient progress and revise treatment plans as needed.
  • Communicate and coordinate care with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members.
  • Provide individualized home exercise programs and discharge recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and condition changes.
  • Adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards and obtain informed consent.
  • Deliver culturally sensitive care and respond to diverse patient needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
