Rate: Travel: $2,648/40 hrs; Local: $2,608/40 hrs

Requirements

• Valid, active Physical Therapy Assistant state license

Scope of duties

• Assist the Physical Therapist with patient evaluations, medical history collection, and goal setting
• Implement prescribed interventions, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility
• Operate therapeutic equipment and administer modalities per plan of care
• Instruct patients and family members on exercise programs, home programs, and techniques to support recovery
• Document treatments, patient responses, and progress accurately and timely in the medical record
• Communicate and coordinate with the PT and the interdisciplinary care team regarding treatment plans and patient status
• Follow safety and infection control policies and maintain a clean therapy environment
• Provide patient encouragement and support to promote engagement in therapy
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
