We’re looking for a licensed Physical Therapist to join a team in Mount Olive, NC on a 15-week contract starting ASAP. This role follows a 36-hour weekly schedule (Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM). Compensation is competitive: Travel rate $2,308/36 hrs; Local rate $2,275/36 hrs.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform thorough evaluations, review medical histories, and collaborate with other clinicians to pinpoint patient needs and goals.
  • Create individualized treatment plans and measurable rehab goals based on your assessments.
  • Design and lead customized exercise programs to build strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use hands-on interventions—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and manual stretching—to improve mobility and relieve pain.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain, inflammation, and healing.
  • Train patients in safe, effective use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
  • Educate patients and family members about diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Implement pain-management strategies combining exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Help patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve overall quality of life.
  • Routinely reassess and document progress, adjusting plans as needed.
  • Communicate clearly with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Provide tailored home exercise programs to support continued recovery.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records and progress notes, and adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards.
  • Deliver culturally sensitive care and respond respectfully to diverse patient needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Must-haves:

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy license for the state where you’ll practice.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included).
