Required licensure:

• Valid, active Occupational Therapy Assistant state license

Key responsibilities:

• Assist the Occupational Therapist (OT) in patient evaluations to identify physical and functional limitations.
• Collaborate with the OT to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver interventions and therapeutic activities to improve motor skills, mobility, and independence in activities of daily living.
• Instruct patients in the safe and effective use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
• Document patient status, interventions, progress, and any changes in condition accurately and timely.
• Provide education and training to patients and families for home exercise programs and ongoing recovery.
• Communicate regularly with the OT and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Follow safety and infection-control protocols to maintain a safe therapy environment.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients working toward therapeutic goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
